Irrigation

Irrigation and sprinkler maintenance in Brawley, CA

The scheduled once-over, not the emergency call. I go through the system valve to head, correct what has drifted, and reset the timer for the season, so small problems get caught before they cost you water and a dead patch of lawn.

What a maintenance visit covers

I run every zone and watch it, which is the only way to find most of this.

Every zone run and watched

Not just switched on. A zone can look fine from the timer and still be missing a third of the lawn.

Heads straightened and reset

Heads sink, tilt, and get knocked by mowers. A head spraying five degrees off waters your driveway all summer.

Nozzles cleared

Our water leaves mineral build-up. Clearing nozzles is the cheapest fix on this list and the one that most often restores coverage.

Coverage checked for gaps

Looking for the dry arcs and dry stripes that turn into dead patches in July, while they are still just dry.

Valves and connections checked

Looking for weeping, seepage, and anything on its way to becoming a stuck zone.

Timer reset for the season

Run times and days changed to match what the yard actually needs right now, not what it needed in March.

Maintenance or repair? They are different jobs

This is the thing people most often get mixed up when they call, so here is the difference in plain terms.

You want maintenance when

Nothing is obviously broken. You want the system gone through, adjusted, and reset for the season. It is scheduled, it is planned, and its whole point is to find things before they fail.

You want a repair when

Something has already gone. A geyser, a zone that will not shut off, a dead timer, a soggy patch. That is a call now, not a scheduled visit. See sprinkler installation and repair for that.

If I find something genuinely broken during a maintenance visit, I tell you what it is and what it costs before I touch it. It does not silently turn into a bigger bill.

What it costs

Priced on the number of zones and the size of the system. Any repairs found are quoted separately before I do them, so a checkup never turns into a surprise. Written price before I start.

Refer a friend or neighbour who books a job and your next service is 5% off. That is the only discount I run, so the price you are quoted is already my best one.

Questions about irrigation and sprinkler maintenance

Twice a year is a reasonable rhythm for most yards here, going into summer and coming out of it, since those are the two points where the timer needs changing anyway.

It can, and the usual reasons are a nozzle spraying the driveway, a head watering the fence, or a timer still running on summer settings in November. I cannot promise a number, but those are real and common.

No. Maintenance is the scheduled once-over when nothing is obviously wrong. If something has already broken, that is a repair, and it is worth calling about straight away rather than waiting for a scheduled visit.

At minimum going into summer and coming out of it. A lot of the waste I see in this valley is a timer still on July settings in November, quietly watering a lawn that stopped needing it weeks ago.

Yes, and it is the easiest way to handle it if I am already coming to your yard on a schedule. Just mention it and we will line it up.
